About Me
My Approach to Healing
As a New York State licensed clinical social worker, my professional experience is rooted in community mental health. My commitment to holding space for others is also deepened by my work as a hospice volunteer, which has provided me with profound lessons on navigating life's most meaningful transitions.
My practice is driven by my personal interest in the unique path women travel and the constant cycles of change we navigate. From the decisions of young adulthood to the quiet wisdom of later years, we are perpetually adapting. It's common to feel that just as we settle into one phase, a new challenge emerges and we find ourselves at a crossroads, asking us to adapt once more.
If you find yourself at one of these intersections—struggling to find meaning in your current story or wondering about new possibilities—supportive therapy can be a valuable resource. I come to this work with both professional and deeply personal experience, having navigated my own shifts in marriage, motherhood, divorce, career choices, caregiving, loss, and the journey through perimenopause and menopause. This allows me to thoughtfully hold space for you as you explore and curate your own personal path forward.
A Note on Holistic Support
For over three decades, my interest in energy and alternative healing has been a vital part of my own life. I integrate a combination of Reiki and Qi-Gong energy healing into my practice as an optional service. While I hold certification as a Reiki Master in the Usui tradition, my approach is guided by intuition and individual client needs, and does not adhere to a specific framework.
Energy healing is an additional offering with your therapy session, and is entirely optional.

The Meaning Behind Luminaria
Luminaria originates from the word lumen, meaning "light." My hope is that our work together acts as a gentle light that helps you find your way, rekindling your own inner light in the process. I believe in your innate potential for self-healing, and my role is to assist you in accessing the wisdom you already have within yourself.
The symbol I chose, the dragonfly holding the light, was deliberately designed by me to represent the possibility for change that flows from within. The dragonfly is recognized across many cultures as a symbol of adaptability, deep self-realization, and beautiful transformation.
